You’ve Helped Raise $1.9 Million for Breast Cancer

October 1st marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time to reflect and take action to honor friends and family who have been affected by breast cancer. But being aware of the disease and working hard to find a cure is not enough. We need to do more to stop breast cancer before it even starts.

That’s why Zumba partnered with Susan G. Komen to create the Zumba Global Research Grant For Breast Cancer Prevention, which studies how women can prevent breast cancer. If you’ve held or attended a Zumbathon in the last 3 years, you have contributed to the $1.9 million we’ve raised to date to fund this grant. Have you wondered exactly how these funds are being used? We visited the research labs at the University of Kansas to find out. Watch the video below to learn more.

And remember: the fight ain’t over, so the party don’t stop! Host or attend a Zumbathon this month and let’s all continue to raise money for an amazing cause! Visit today.

Get to know some of Zumba’s very own breast cancer warriors, Paula and Jocelyn, and let their message remind you that we can all make a difference. #Zumba #MoveToGive
