If you’re a ZIN, then you know that the best, biggest, and craziest concert of the year happens at #ZINCON. We’re talking about the Fitness Concert, baby! And 2016’s was off the chain.
The 90-minte, half-million dollar production led by Beto and his team of Zumba Instructors kicked off with producer-phenomenon Timbaland and his fierce new girl group Obs3ssed. Next up, Beto led the crowd of 7,500 through an awesome Prince tribute which included “When Doves Cry” and “Kiss”.
After that warm-up, things got more intense as everyone moved to reggaeton, merengue, salsa, cumbia, dancehall, pop, hip-hop, and other global rhythms.
Balang – the young Filipino Zumba aficionado – seriously got the crowd riled up as he took the stage all by himself for an unforgettable dance to Cumbiamba.
Performances by other artists who are super popular in the Zumba community included Max Pizzolante, Michelle Gutty, Marcelo Cezan, and Aisha. Four aspiring Zumba Instructors from around the world – aged 8 to 12 – did an amazing job dancing on stage throughout the concert.
Finally, reggae superstar and Mr. Lova Lova himself closed the show with fan favorites “Boombastic”, “It Wasn’t Me”, and recently released hit “I Got You”.
