April Sharp is a mother of three who recently faced a serious health issue that caused her to put on extra weight. While she knew that exercise was an important part of her lifestyle, she realized that it was not the only option when it came to losing weight. April got serious with her diet and began to understand the role that a healthy, plant-based diet could play in achieving her goals.
“I began to incorporate Zumba Shake Shake Shake into my diet plan,” says April. “That, along with taking Zumba classes, helped me go from 142 pounds down to 125 in less than six months. If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
Aside from losing 17 pounds, April also lost a total of 33.5 inches from her body. She credits her Zumba Instructor, Christi, for firing her up with the motivation she was looking for.
“Christi is awesome,” says April about her Zumba® Instructor. “She’s high energy and she’s always there for us and she totally encourages me to attend Zumba classes three or four times a week.”
April believes that consistency is the key to being successful, no matter what your goal is. For her, specifically, using Shake Shake Shake® as a meal replacement every day has helped her cut her sugar cravings. She’s also mindful of drinking as much water as possible throughout the day and she constantly re-commits herself to being her healthiest self each and every day.
Her advice for friends and family struggling with their weight? It’s simple:
“Never give up. You can do this!”
