Meet Max Pizzolante. The American-Italian-Venezuelan singer, songwriter, and producer has had a notable career, working with top Latin artists like Elvis Crespo, Bacanos, and Illegales amongst many others. His latest collaboration features perhaps the most well-known person in Zumba Fitness: Mr. Beto Perez himself! The duo teamed up to bring us ‘Vive y Baila’, an instant Zumba classic with it’s merengue rhythms and hip-hop influences. It even features Beto rapping a verse! So, what inspired Max to write this song?
“My wife took me to a Zumba class one day,” says Max. “The energy coming off the participants was electric and really moving. I wanted to express through song what people actually live when they take a class. So, that’s how ‘Vive y Baila’ was born.”
Beto was a natural fit to the song and the two have formed a lasting friendship through the experience. Now Max is hoping that ‘Vive y Baila’ inspires you to take a class. Like the song says, let the rhythm move you!
