Click Here To Support Officer Delgado, First Responder From Pulse Nightclub Attack

All of us remember the horrific events that took place at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub in June of 2016. The tragedy is engrained in our hearts and deeply affected so many people around the world, on so many levels. Our Zumba community was affected on a personal level, as the life of one fellow Zumba® Instructor – Angel Candelario – was taken.

Just a few weeks after the attack, survivor and fellow Zumba Instructor Angel Colon joined us on stage at the annual Zumba Instructor Convention and introduced us to his hero – Officer Omar Delgado. Officer Delgado was one of the brave first responders to arrive at the scene of the attack and proceeded to heroically carry a wounded Angel Colon out to safety. The two have an unbelievable bond that can never be broken. And now, Officer Delgado needs our help.

Since the night of the attack, Officer Delgado has been suffering from PTSD (post-trauamatic-stress-disorder) and is working to get the help he needs in order to heal. Just six months shy of receiving his pension, Officer Delgado has learned that he has been terminated from his position, meaning he will not only lose his job, but also the benefits that cover him and his family. It is truly an unfair situation.

However, we can all help. Please spread the word about Officer Delgado and consider donating anything you can to support a true hero. He deserves this now more than ever. Click below to donate.
